There are three types of visas.

• Single Entry Visa
• Double Entry Visa
• Multi Entry Visa

1) First, find out in which Schengen country you want to go to and do a study about that country.  Suppose you want to go to France, then you have to find out where is the France embassy in India.
Before that, you have to read about France, likes the historical place, where most tourists they like to visit, famous places, the best food, the name of some city or airport and so more.

2) Once you find out where is an embassy in India. Go to the Officail website and download the Schengen visa application form. If you are two or three persons to apply for a Schengen visa then get a copy of  2 or 3 application forms.

3) You need two recently Photograph to paste on the application form of Schengen.

4)  You need a valid passport to apply for at least 3 months. Your passport must have 2 blank pages.

5) Travel Insurance is a must if you want to visit Europe up to 30.000 EU to cover your whole Schengen Trip.

6) When you apply for a Schengen visa or any tourist visa, You have to show in embassy Proof of accommodation. Accommodation means Hotel or any Hostel booking and gives all the proof that you have really all these documents to stay there for a few days.

7) Important Tip: Please Make your Cover letter or itinerary.  Cover letter or itinerary mean, you have to explain all things, likes where are you going, where you will stay, how many days your trip, When you will visit there, what you will do there and so more. 8) when you are ready with full Schengen Visa Application form book your appointment in the embassy in India. 

9) Pay your visa fees 80 Eu as per the new rules of Schengen Visa in 2020. If you have a baby with you then you have to pay 40 Eu extra as per new fees of Schengen visa 2020. 

10) Now you have to wait for your interview and processing of your visa. When your interview finish then you have to wait 15 days to get your result of your Schengen Visa.

11) Students from India, Who want to apply also for Schengen Visa, they need also all things the same but you need extra two documents. Proof of Enrolment that you are doing a study in the college and NOC means No Objection Letter from your school or from your college.

12) If you are doing a job then you need a contract letter from your office, the bank statements that you have sufficient balance to travel and you have to show your bank statement at least 6 months.NOC from your office and in the last your ITR at least 3 years.

13) If you are doing business then you have to show, all proof of your business and license. You should show 6 months of old bank statements and your ITR from the last 3 years.
